A new music startup →
It’s called Sound Supply, and it it’s like groupon-style flash sale of bundles of digital albums. Basically, you have 10 days to buy 10 handpicked album in digital format for $15. The first batch is a triumph of indie pop bonanza, featuring one of my favorite record of 2010: “Davvy” by Coconut Records (worth $15 by itself, for sure!).

A year of music: 2011 wrap-up
2011 was a good year. I also listened to a lot of new stuff, so something good out of 140 albums had to come out! A quick list (in alphabetical order) of what I liked the most:
Austra - Feel It Break: a dark version of Karin Dreijer, with a great voice and haunting, complex choruses.
Autre Ne Veut - Body EP: Incredible music, synth-soul or something like that, from this new band. Outstanding...
